 Estimates

Estimates are based on the specific items and services requested at the time of preparation. The estimated price is final unless additional services, items, weight, or cubic feet are added. Any deviation will result in a new written estimate before services are performed.

HUGE Van Lines/hugevanlines.com is a licensed interstate broker (MC# 1751334| USDOT# 4446019) and may coordinate transportation with another FMCSA-authorized carrier.

Included Services

  • Professional door-to-door service
  • Expert moving guidance
  • Furniture disassembly and reassembly (if performed by movers at pickup)
  • Quilted blanket wrapping for furniture
  • Itemized inventory of goods
  • Loading and unloading
  • Transportation, taxes, tolls, mileage, and fuel surcharges
  • Standard cargo protection up to $10,000 at $0.60 per lb/article
  • No charge for packing tape and moving pads
  • No date change penalties (if requested 7+ business days before pickup)

Optional Accessorial Services & Fees

Charges for additional services may apply:

  • Stairs: First flight (10 steps) included; each additional flight: $75
  • Long Carry: First 75 feet included; each additional 75 feet: $75
  • Shuttle Service: $300 minimum if a semi-trailer cannot access the location; $1 per cubic foot thereafter
  • Packing Supplies: Boxes, bubble wrap, etc., available for purchase
  • Storage: $1.00 per cubic foot per additional month ($286 minimum)
  • Full Packing Service: Additional costs apply based on inventory changes

Changes at Pickup

  1. A revised estimate must be provided if additional items are added.
  2. Contact our office immediately at 615-237-8380 for assistance.
  3. Do not allow the truck to be loaded before receiving a revised estimate.
  4. If no revised estimate is signed and the truck is loaded, federal regulations require the original estimate to be honored.

Payment Terms

  • Reservation Fee: Required via ACH (electronic check).
  • Deposit: Paid via Cashier’s check, personal check, or ACH.
  • Pickup Payment: Credit card use must be pre-approved (subject to a 5% fee).
  • Final Payment at Delivery: Balance due prior to unloading via USPS money order or cash.
  • Storage Fees: If payment is not made in full, goods may be stored at the customer’s expense.

Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable but may be credited toward a future move within 12 months. 

Insurance & Liability

  • Two valuation options: Limited Liability ($0.60/lb per article) or Full Replacement Value Protection (FVP).
  • Third-party insurance is recommended.
  • The mover is not liable for damage to walls, floors, ceilings, or personal items such as firearms, jewelry, cash, hazardous materials, perishable items, or pets.

Pickup & Delivery Schedule

All dates are estimates and subject to change due to traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or unforeseen delays.

  • 0-500 miles: 1-3 days
  • 501-1000 miles: 3-7 days
  • 1001-2000 miles: 7-14 days
  • 2001+ miles: 14-21 days

Revised Estimates

  • If the inventory changes, a new written estimate must be signed before loading.
  • If additional weight is added, payment may be increased up to 10% over the original estimate.

Legal Jurisdiction

All disputes must be filed in Rutherford County, Tennessee and are subject to federal law governing interstate shipments.

Claims

  • Claims must be submitted in writing within 9 months of delivery.
  • Outstanding balances must be paid before claims are processed.
  • HUGE Van Lines/hugevanlines.com is not liable for carrier-related damages or delays.
